Two Florida men and one Florida woman were arrested in Port St. Lucie after one of the men opened fire during an argument about how many eggs a chicken can lay.

The man's a farmer and you'd think he would know.

Officer: The shooter evidently raises chickens and the conversation was about how many eggs a chicken could lay.

Here's CBS 12:

The group's casual conversation about how many eggs a chicken can lay continued after last call, when they moved outside.

Police say Riera smoked marijuana in the parking lot and soon became paranoid and agitated, accusing the others of trying to 'con' him.

Moments later, officers say, he pulled a .45-caliber Glock 30 and fired four shots as the group ran.

Miraculously, no one was hit.

Don't do pot, kids.

Not even once!

Police arrested Riera for:

  • 3 counts of Attempted Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon

  • 2 counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon

  • 4 counts of Discharging a Firearm in Public

  • 1 count of Use of a Firearm While Under the Influence

Two of the victims, a man and a woman, were also arrested for resisting arrest, including the man kicking an officer, and obstructing police work.

A good job all around, Florida boys and girls!
