Who's ready for new SUPER West Virginia?

Hey, West Virginia is already the weirdest shaped state with a history of being involved in secession, so why not?

West Virginia's Senator Chris Rose from Monongalia County is extending the warm hand of friendship to neighbors across state lines, proposing that they join the solidly conservative West Virginia.

Here's WTRF on the proposed annexation/secession plan.

In the proposal posted to Facebook Wednesday, Senator Chris Rose (R-Monongalia) introduced a resolution that invites 30 total counties — three from Maryland and 27 from Virginia — to secede from their respective states and join West Virginia. Those counties are as follows:

  • Allegany, Md.

  • Garrett, Md.

  • Washington, Md.

  • Alleghany, Va.

  • Augusta, Va.

  • Bath, Va.

  • Bland, Va.

  • Buchanan, Va.

  • Carroll, Va.

  • Clarke, Va.

  • Craig, Va.

  • Dickenson, Va.

  • Frederick, Va.

  • Giles, Va.

  • Grayson, Va.

  • Highland, Va.

  • Lee, Va.

  • Page, Va.

  • Patrick, Va.

  • Rappahannock, Va.

  • Rockingham, Va.

  • Russell, Va.

  • Scott, Va.

  • Shenandoah, Va.

  • Smyth, Va.

  • Tazewell, Va.

  • Warren, Va.

  • Washington, Va.

  • Wise, Va.

  • Wythe, Va.

It really is a sight to behold.

Senator Rose, tugging at this author's heart strings, made this announcement on Facebook along with the classic "Appeal to Heaven" flag.

Senator Rose emphasized that the move could address residents' concerns over policies in their current states that may not align with local priorities, such as Second Amendment rights, economic development, and rural representation. 'This resolution is about empowering communities to choose governance that truly reflects their values and needs,' said Senator Rose. 'West Virginia was born from the spirit of self-determination, and we're extending that invitation to our neighbors who share our way of life. By uniting, we can foster economic growth, better infrastructure, and a stronger voice for Appalachia.'

Just the next step on the road to the next great super state of Greater Appalachia.

Virginians, if you don't like the murder fantasizer Jay Jones being your AG maybe don't laugh at this good will gesture.
