Okay, I know this Florida man attacked his sister and everything, but I'm just over here trying to figure out how someone just wastes a bag of Church's Chicken like this. I mean, that's a huge party fowl if you ask me.
20-year-old Khanye Medley is the guilty party here, and he has a history of this sibling battery. Khanye lives with his sister in Clearwater, and if you've got a sister of your own you know how much of a mistake this might be (for both of them, I'll be fair).
Looks like Khanye is using the hangry defense for the chicken attack, because his excuse for his outrage is that he was really hungry and his sister offered him one of the worst pieces in the bag. I'll assume she told him to deal with what was one of those tiny drumsticks with barely any meat on it, so then he proceeded to grab the bag from her and just start chucking pieces at her.
Here's what the police report said:
[KHANYE DID] ACTUALLY AND INTENTIONALLY TOUCH OR STRIKE [HIS SISTER] AND CO-HABITANT, AGAINST THE WILL OF [HIS SISTER] … THE DEFENDANT THREW CHICKEN AT THE VICTIM'S BACK.
THE DEFENDANT AND VICTIM WERE IN A VERBAL ALTERCATION WHEN THE DEFENDANT GRABBED A BAG OF CHICKEN FROM THE VICTIM AND BEGAN TO THROW PIECES OF CHURCHES CHICKEN AT HER. ONE PIECE OF FRIED CHICKEN HIT THE VICTIM IN THE BACK AND LEFT DEBRIS OF FOOD ON HER SHOULDERS.
POST MIRANDA:THE DEFENDANT STATED HE DID THROW TWO PIECES AT HER. ONE OF WHICH HIT HER. HE STATED HE DID THIS BECAUSE HE HAD NOT EATEN AND DID NOT WANT THE PIECE OF CHICKEN THE VICTIM OFFERED HIM SO HE BECAME UPSET.
I'm sorry, but...
Bro, I'm still confused as to why, if you were so hungry, these pieces of fried chicken left your hand with meat still on them. You had the bag, why not just run away while eating the chicken and then toss the bare bones at sis? Are you not much for multitasking, or..?
Regardless, you're living with the consequences of your actions (and you're probably still hangry).
Despite that hangry defense, Medley was arrested for domestic battery, a misdemeanor, and booked into the county jail ...
The State Attorney subsequently declined to pursue felony and misdemeanor counts after Medley's sister declared that she did not wish to see her brother prosecuted.
What a nice sister!
