Former Australian premier denied golf membership due to his lockdown tyranny during the pandemic

Well, well, well, it looks like someone is getting a taste of their own medicine.

Dan Andrews, former premier of Victoria, Australia, has been DENIED a membership to an exclusive golf club.

Why?

Because he locked down the entire city during the pandemic and banned golfers from playing outdoors.

So, no. Not all is forgiven and forgotten.

Embarrassingly enough, Andrews was too shy to ask the club himself, so he had his buddy Max Beck put out some feelers to the Portsea Golf Club powerbrokers to see Andrew's chances to join.

Turns out his chances were non-existent.

Andrews received a clear message that there was no chance of him joining, and they even dropped hints that he may not even be allowed to submit a membership application.

The lockdowns in Mornington Peninsula were particularly controversial because residents were frustrated that the region was included despite being 70km away from the Melbourne CBD.

Dan Andrews made the quality of his character very clear during the pandemic:

Yeah...

According to professional golfer Mark Allen, "No they have not [forgiven him]."

They have not forgiven him and I can tell you this: on Friday night at the Sorrento Hotel, it was the talk of the region and to the point where not only members from Portsea, but members from other clubs were saying that if he's trying to join anywhere down here, they just will not let him join.

Well, remember, one side of the peninsula, they were able to play and they were able to get around the other side of the peninsula, they were not allowed to play.

Once there is an overwhelming [consensus], it's a very easy thing to do to put a black line through their name.

Now Andrew's buddy Max Beck is pretty salty over his friend being turned down...

I can't believe how small-minded people can be.

It's just all about a bloke who wants to play golf and enjoy the rest of his life. It's ridiculous.

He's worked his guts out for the state with his beliefs.

I'm very disappointed, but we'll just see whether the [Portsea Golf Club] committee takes into account his political beliefs or his personality and his golfing ability - they are the two things they should be assessing him on.

IMAGINE THAT!

Someone just wanting to play golf but not being allowed to. Shocking! Horrifying, unacceptable ... oh wait, that's what Andrews did to the entire region. Oops!

When Beck was asked if Andrews was being "demonized," Beck responded, "Oh, 100 percent."

He's a very nice person. A straight-shooter and a very good golfer. He's got a handicap of under 10.

He's very pleasant to play with. What does his political alliance have to do with golf?

Well, that's just too bad, isn't it? ... ๐Ÿ™„

According to The Daily Mail, one resident told News Corp, "Dan is just toxic down here."

During his reign, Andrews became a very controversial figure in the region. Like many other politicians, he was caught vacationing during lockdowns.

In March 2021, he suffered serious injuries in a significant fall while on vacation in Sorrento. Additionally, a car accident in 2013 involved the Andrews' family car, which allegedly collided with a teenage cyclist - this incident is still under Supreme Court proceedings.

Oh, and if you feel bad that he can't play golf, he is a current Kingston Heath Golf Club member. Like all elites, he has a taste for the high life and wants to join a club in the Mornington Peninsula too.

I am finding it very hard to feel sorry for this guy.
