Former Vikings punter Chris Kluwe got all sorts of civilly disobedient on Tuesday at a Huntington Beach City Council meeting, leading to his arrest. Kluwe, an apparent sufferer of Trump Derangement Syndrome, was protesting a plaque which has a MAGA acrostic on it which is set to be displayed at the library.

The NFL veteran spoke against a plaque with a 'MAGA' acronym being placed outside the city's library for its 50th anniversary. The plaque will have the words 'Magical,' 'Alluring,' 'Galvanizing' and 'Adventurous' next to each other. It will also read, 'Through hope and change our nation has built back better to the golden era of Making America Great Again!'
That plaque could very well end democracy as we know it, folks! 😂
And that is why a former NFL punter - a guy who kicks the ball on fourth down - decided to get himself arrested at this city council meeting, essentially becoming the MLK of his time (it is Black History Month after all).
Before he engaged in the "time-honored American tradition of peaceful civil disobedience," he had this to say:
MAGA stands for trying to erase trans people from existence. MAGA stands for resegregation and racism. MAGA stands for censorship and book bans. MAGA stands for firing air traffic controllers while planes are crashing. MAGA stands for firing the people overseeing our nuclear arsenal. MAGA stands for firing military veterans and those serving them at the VA, including canceling research on veteran suicide. MAGA stands for cutting funds to education, including for disabled children. MAGA is profoundly corrupt, unmistakably anti-democracy, and most importantly, MAGA is explicitly a Nazi movement.
He also posted a Google doc with his full comments so we could make fun of him some more or something.
Remember, according to this guy who used to kick a ball for a living, MAGA = Nazi.
