Hollywood journalists are shocked by the news most normal people saw coming a mile away: No one was interested in seeing Furiosa.
According to a report in The Hollywood Reporter, George Miller's Furiosa is projected to take in only $31 million at the box office. When adjusted for inflation, that's the worst Memorial Day box-office haul in 43 years.
Could it be that no one was interested in seeing an origin-story spinoff about a female character no one ever cared about? Perhaps, maybe, no one is interested in seeing a Mad-Max movie with no Mad Max?
The loyal Hollywood shills wasted no time hating on the audience, as they usually do:
Babylon Bee Managing Editor Joel Berry had some thoughts:
He continued:
It would seem that audiences have had it with Hollywood sidelining heroic male characters to make way for the now-cliched "strong female character" who acts like a man and is physically stronger than a man.
Art has to tell the truth about human beings, or it doesn't resonate.
It seems Hollywood still hasn't learned that lesson.
