Mayor Pete struggled against friendly media to answer why he's only built "7 or 8" EV charging stations out of the 500,000 he promised 🥴

The Biden admin has set a goal of building half a million electric vehicle charging stations in the United States by the year 2030. Under 3 years of Mayor Pete's leadership they have built ... 8.

Even CBS News knows that's pathetic.

Man, when CBS News is turning against one of Biden's heirs apparent and laughing at his incompetence, you know it's pathetic. If you've lost Margaret Brennan you've really messed up!!!

Brennan: The Federal Highway Administration says only 7 or 8 charging stations have been produced with the $7.5 billion investment that taxpayers made back in 2021 ...

I want to interrupt here just to say how absolutely perfect it is that the federal government CAN'T COUNT TO 8!

HOW WOULD YOU NOT KNOW IF IT'S SEVEN OR EIGHT?!?

And at a $7.5 BILLION investment that's approximately $1 billion PER ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATION!

Anyways, back to the question.

Brennan: ... Why isn't that happening more quickly?

Buttigieg: So, the president's goal is to have half a million chargers up by the end of this decade. Now, in order to do a charger, it's more than just plugging a small device into the ground. There's utility work, and this is also, really, a new category of federal investment. But we've been working with each of the 50 states, every one of them is getting formula dollars to do this work —

Brennan: 7 or 8 though? ...

Buttigieg: Again, by 2030, 500,000 chargers. And the first handful of chargers are already physically being built.

Face the Nation is turning on Gay Mayor Pete!

At this current pace, we MIGHT have another 15 electric vehicle charging stations by the 2030 deadline, meaning that the Biden Electric Company will only be short of its goal by 499,977.

Government efficiency!!
