This is what democracy looks like: A small group makes a bunch of noise, breaks things when they don't get their way, and now Sacramento wasn't able to celebrate their annual Christmas tree lighting.
We all remember what happened in New York City when they tried to light a Christmas tree:
And in Michigan:
So like I said, break things and get your way. I remember when my toddler used to do that.
Keep in mind, these people were supposed to be Jew haters. Jews don't even celebrate Christmas. I guess we know a little bit more about them now, huh?
Back to California:
California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom canceled the annual live public Christmas tree lighting that had been scheduled for Tuesday because of "protests across the country" …
"As we continue to see protests across the country impacting the safety of events of all scales - and for the safety and security of all participating members and guests including children and families - the ceremony this year will be virtual," a Newsom spokesperson had stated on Tuesday afternoon. "The program is unchanged and viewers can tune in Wednesday evening to watch this year's festivities."
No crowds, just a livestream.
Bro, these pro-Palestine protesters are apparently just as dangerous as Covid was. Don't forget to wear a mask next time they come through your city, or you could catch the fascism.
I thought this was cute too:
On Monday, the California Highway Patrol erected barriers over much of the building's west side lawn, where the tree stands, along with signs reading, "KEEP OUT, NO TRESPASSING" and warnings that the area was under 24-hour video surveillance.
I guess I'll just sit here and wait for more "peaceful protests."
Merry Christmas, California!
