Georgia county tells people to stop calling 911 about cicadas
· May 26, 2021 · NottheBee.com

Okay, I completely understand: to most people it's still 2020. This means 2020 things are bound to happen, and we should all be on the lookout for the next big phenomenon.

But this...This ain't it folks!

Dude, you called the cops on a bug!

Yes y'all, Brood X Cicadas make a butt-load of noise!

About the same amount of noise as your neighbor's lawn mower!

And it's totally not an alien invasion, I promise.

Yet still, in Union County, Georgia, local authorities have had to remind citizens not to call 911…

On hundreds of thousands—if not millions—OF BUGS!

Here's the county's Facebook announcement:

Got that, folks?

It's not an alarm.

It's not a UFO.

You're not in the upside down.

IT'S JUST A BUNCH OF BUGS!

SO PLEASE, STOP CALLING 911.

Now, if you'll excuse me I'm going to go out and call me some cicadas.

You know that's a thing, right?
