There's "lucky," there's "really lucky," and there's "Dang, boy, how'd you walk away from that?"
A young bull rider is lucky to be alive after being viciously gored in the throat during a rodeo — spouting over two gallons of blood in front of shocked audience members, a disturbing new video shows.
Zachary Naegele, 24, was competing in the Conley Invitational in Palmetto, Florida last week when he was stabbed in the neck just seconds into his ride on a massive, angry bull.
Video of the incident is not pleasant to watch:

Everyone in the arena:

It was no joke, though — dude was hurt bad and came close to checking out. He reportedly lost 2 gallons of blood, which might have included substantial amounts from blood transfusions.
[Warning: Graphic]
'I could feel myself going in and out from the amount of blood loss in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. I had to fight to keep breathing,' Naegele told ABC27.
The 24-year-old said he lost more than two gallons of blood from the horn wound which severed his small carotid artery, according to the report.
The young man is determined to get back into the ring after healing up; as he put it, "God has bigger plans for me in life."
God is plainly very prominent in this fellow's life; as he expressed:
If you don't know God, and you're getting on bulls, you're walking a dangerous line.
Well said, Zach. God be with you on your next ride!
