Apparently Harvard is in need of a cash infusion for some reason. According to reports, they have put the name of their medical school up sale.
The cost?
$1 billion.
There aren't many people in the world that can just dole out that kind of money.
Gerald L. Chan gave $350 million to Harvard's School of Public Health to get his name put on the building. John A. Paulson gave $400 million to get his name Harvard's School of Applied Sciences.
But Harvard Medical School? That's not small potatoes.
Harvard's asking for a cool billion to see your name inscribed on the building, but there's nothing that says your name has to be the one inscribed.
Just imagine it.
- "I'm heading over to the [X] medical building."
- "I got my degree from [X]."
- "I practice [X] medicine."
Okay, these [X] ideas are deteriorating quickly.
If it were me, I'd probably just mess with them and change the building's name to "Quackery & Other Nonsense."
This is one of the schools pushing "transitioning care" for "transgender children" after all.
