This feels like we got in on the early stages of a Florida man story with this one.

Enough with the Florida man headlines, what about the Florida monkeys?

Yes, a neighborhood in Mount Dora, Florida, one nice enough to have an HOA, is experiencing some literal monkey business.

What we know: The Sullivan Ranch neighborhood Homeowners Association sent out an email to residents on Tuesday afternoon to warn them of the monkey.

HOA leaders said the loose monkey was spotted in Sullivan Ranch, specifically around the retention pond and in the rear yards along Sullivan Ranch Road.

Florida men, gators, and monkeys, oh my!

Animal control has been alerted, but finding the monkey won't be an easy task.

This isn't the first monkey spotting in the neighborhood, either. A year ago a couple of monkeys were spotted in the same area.

The HOA has warned residents to NOT approach the monkey, seemingly forgetting that their residents are all Florida men and women who know no fear of man nor beast!
