Remember last month when the Trump White House came to bear on woke, DEI-obsessed Harvard University, telling them to get their house in order or lose a huge chunk of federal change?
Well, the school's woke professor vanguard is all fired up, and they're not taking this lying down:
More than 80 Harvard faculty members pledged to donate 10 percent of their salaries for up to a year to support the University in its resistance against the Trump administration's attempts to exact concessions and freeze billions in federal funding.
The group is still collecting pledges, but faculty members' commitments currently amount to more than $2 million, according to Government professor Ryan D. Enos. The faculty sent a letter outlining their planned donation to University President Alan M. Garber '76 Wednesday afternoon.
Harvard profs getting $2 million and setting it on fire like:

The Trump administration froze several billion dollars in federal grants for Harvard in large part "due to its failure to effectively push back against recent waves of antisemitic sentiment on its campus."
Indeed, as the Harvard Crimson has laid out, most of the White House's demands are pretty unremarkable, including "commission[ing] a third party to audit programs that contribute to antisemitism," "launch[ing] a third-party audit for 'viewpoint diversity' among affiliates," and "check[ing] faculty members' scholarship for plagiarism and conduct[ing] plagiarism reviews in its hiring process."
(Gee, I wonder where they got that last demand from??)
And yet the school's professors are apparently just unwilling to comply with any of this:
'The letter that the Trump administration sent to Harvard University is one of the most Stalinist things I've ever read, and I've studied communist revolutions,' [sociology Professor Theda] Skocpol said. 'It requires a firm and very broad response inside and beyond the universities.'
When an Ivy League professor tells you that rooting out, exposing and combatting antisemitism is "Stalinist":

Hey, maybe the faculty can just put up $3 billion and make up for the lost federal funding outright!
