Holy crud CNN is doing actual journalism. Look at this report on the living conditions and protests at the Chinese factory that makes half of all iPhones.

Credit where credit is due, CNN. This is actual journalism. You did it!

There's a lot of crazy stuff in there.

Chinese Communist Party lockdowns forced Apple to slow down production. This was costing the company money, but Apple CO Tim Cook signed a secret $275 billion deal with the CCP in 2016 to give the company continued access to cheap Chinese labor (remember, the country literally enslaves people).

Apple insists that its supply chain is clear of slave labor, which is a near impossibility given the many rare-earth minerals being mined in Sub-Saharan Africa for each Apple device (and Sub-Saharan African business is largely controlled by China these days).

The company uses a Chinese/Taiwanese electronics manufacturer called Foxconn to pull together the raw materials needed for its products and assemble them in China. Thousands of Western companies have such deals with Chinese suppliers and manufacturers because former President Bill Clinton signed a bill allowing communist China to rejoin free international trade in 2000. Our elites wanted cheap labor and they got it (while American manufacturing went down the toilet).

The CNN report alleges – surprise, surprise! – that Foxconn tried to solve the lockdown delays by lying to new hires about their pay and benefits, then treated them like animals with gross living conditions and poor wages. When the government locked the workers in their factory for more Covid insanity, it was the final straw.

This happened:

I would feel bad for Apple if it weren't for the fact that the company has repeatedly cozied up to the worst authoritarian regime on the planet.

Just this week, it came to light that the company was limiting its AirDrop feature in China to prevent protesters from organizing.

It's expected that companies are primarily motivated by profit, but Apple has gone to great lengths to portray itself as the paragon of virtue and progress in our world.

It has giant LGBT flags and talks about being carbon-neutral to save the planet.

The executive team gets out there on stage in jeans and a T-shirt to let you know they are relatable, down-to-earth guys.

It invests heavily in leftist causes and uses its massive platform to get as many leftist elected to Congress and the White House as possible.

It introduced the pregnant-man emoji to let us silly hicks know that men can be women too.

It does this, it seems, so that white liberals with rich parents will spend lots of money to feel smug while they sip their Starbucks lattes, using their iPhones made by African and Chinese slaves to dox some Christian on Twitter who didn't want to bake a cake for a transgender orgy.
