If you missed the murder of Peanut the Squirrel at the hands of tyrants, see here.
This guy really stepped in it with his hot take.
I'm not sure why Edwin M felt the need to reply to a fake message from Donald Trump about Peanut, but he felt so strongly that he used all caps to make his point.
Well, as the comments show, his use of logic regarding legality and government power backfired in his face ... and spectacularly so.
Anyway, it is neither wise nor prudent to give too much attention to trolls.
The original poster responded to the comments, saying that none of this would have happened if the couple who rescued the squirrel hadn't posted so many videos of the lovable rodent online.
He thinks the couple was posting the videos to make money - and since Peanut the Squirrel's "mom and dad" had a "raunchy" OnlyFans account, I don't doubt it, even if the couple did raise funds for animal charities.
But this misses the point. The point is the government's hypocrisy in what it spends time and resources on.
The point is the unequal administration of justice.
(Animals as metaphors for the wickedness of kings isn't new. Consider the illustration of a lamb that the prophet Nathan gave to King David.)
Since the purpose of a system is what it does, what does it say when our government lets rapists off the hook for their skin color or legality status but sends the full weight of the justice system to euthanize a squirrel?
RIP, Peanut!
