Jen Psaki Just Said Americans Are Actually NOT Stranded in Afghanistan 🤔
· Aug 23, 2021 · NottheBee.com

This is either really great news or Psaki is just using a heckuva lot of poetic license. Watch her answer here:

"First of all, I think it's irresponsible to say Americans are stranded. They are not. We are committed to bringing Americans who want to come home, home."

Last week, The New York Times reported that up to 15,000 Americans were in Afghanistan. Since then around 2,500 have been evacuated.

So maybe those 12,500 Americans that are still in Afghanistan just don't want to come home. I mean, Psaki's pretty clear that if they want to come home they can. They just need to figure it out on their own. Really I think it comes down to the definition of "stranded."

And don't forget, it's only been two days since the U.S. Embassy urged Americans to avoid going to the Kabul airport (you know, the only way out of the country) due to security threats. And only this morning, reports began circulating about a gunfight that took place at the airport. But hey, Biden is just an innocent bystander here. You can come home anytime you want!

I wish that I could believe Psaki when she says no Americans are stranded, but reports on the ground are anything but optimistic.
