Joe Biden: "It’s simply not true that my administration or policies are holding back domestic energy production." 🤡

On literal Day 1 of Joe Biden's presidency, he killed American energy.

Literally Day 1:

Now, as gas prices hit $7/gallon in some places along with a rolling national average over $4, he's claiming this:

On Tuesday, while announcing that he would ban oil exports from Russia, President Biden insisted, "It's simply not true that my administration or policies are holding back domestic energy production. That's simply not true."

Later, he blamed the rise in Americans' gas prices on Russia's invasion of Ukraine...

All Joe Biden knows how to do is lie and blame. It's what's kept him in Washington for 50 years, after all!

Here's what he said about his policies in full:

Look, let me be clear about two other points. First, it's simply not true that my administration or policies are holding back domestic energy production. That's simply not true. Even amid the pandemic, companies in the United States pumped more oil during my first year in office than they did during my predecessor's first year. We're approaching record levels of oil and gas production in the United States and we're on track to set a record for oil production next year.

In the United States, 90 percent of on-shore oil production takes place on land that isn't owned by the federal government. And of the remaining 10 percent that occurs on federal land, the oil and gas industry has millions of acres leased, they have 9,000 permits to drill now, they could be drilling right now, yesterday, last week, last year, they have 9,000 to drill on-shore that are already approved. Let me be clear, they are not using them for production now.

The reason America was outputting so much oil during Joe's first year is because he wasn't able to kill it that fast. Such malfeasance takes time.

Fact: We just became a net importer of oil again after being the world's largest exporter under Trump. We were completely energy reliant.

Biden can talk about acreage all he wants (notice he didn't talk about actual outputs), but there are severe restrictions keeping us from tapping the insane amount of oil and natural gas under our feet. Biden's own energy secretary laughs about gas prices because paying more is part of their plan.

Oil industry professionals ripped Biden for this claim.

Mack Energy Corp. Director of Government Affairs Claire Chase argued on Tuesday that the United States is currently facing a "crisis of President Biden's making" as it pertains to oil and gas.

"If he [Biden] had allowed us to continue to drill the way that we were under President Trump I don't think we would be seeing $130 oil today," she told "Cavuto: Coast to Coast" on Tuesday.

Chase also slammed President Biden's "disingenuous" support for the industry, pointing to his energy policies.

No one is buying it, Joe. No one at all.

Speaking with Cavuto, Chase said that "9,000 leases available is such a misleading number."

She went on to say it is "a complicated situation," noting that "we have permits but, we are facing the same issues that other industries are facing, with the supply chain, with labor shortages. So we can all have all the permits in the world, but if we can't get the casing to protect the groundwater, then we can't drill."

She went on to point out that "we also need to get the rights-of-way for our roads to access that lease or for the lines that we need to move the products," which she said is controlled by the Department of the Interior, which she argued "has been very slow to get us answers on those rights-of-way."

So I think it's really sort of a disingenuous figure to say, ‘We're being very supportive' when from day one the signal to oil and gas companies has been, ‘we don't want you drilling on federal land.' So as a result we are making the choice to invest elsewhere and to slow down," Chase continued.

When you're paying $6-$10 a gallon at the pump next week and wondering how you'll afford to drive to work and buy food for your family (which will be even more expensive since trucks use fuel), remember to thank the guy who has made it all possible!

Unity in poverty!
