This is uncomfortable to watch, but DANG do we need to see questions like this being asked to the bureaucrats who fancy themselves petty dictators over the stupid little people.
Watch Sen. Josh Hawley in this line of attack on Colleen Shogan, who might lead the U.S. Archives, as he brings up a 2007 academic article she wrote for the American Political Science Association, titled "Anti-intellectualism in the Modern Presidency: Republican Populism."
Check it out (especially the end):
This is how it's done!
Like many leftists, Shogan says her reference to Republicans as uneducated dolts was just about "rhetoric" and their ability to connect with voters. She trusts us ignoramus yokels, what with our Bibles and belief in reason and objective truth, won't be able to work out the inherent insult.
I would respect these people a lot more if they would just come out and say, "Yes, I think your conservative opinions are trash and I think you are the scum of the earth."
Seriously!
I'd rather hear it to my face than be stabbed in the back by the "tolerance" crowd that says they're all about kindness until you think a little differently than them and believe different things.
