John MacArthur delivers a nuclear warning to the “religiously observant” Biden about swearing his presidential oath on the Bible

Pastor John MacArthur of Grace Community Church in California dropped a theological nuke from lower orbit on President Joe Biden for the hypocrisy between his apparent faith, his oath sworn on the Bible, and the actual actions he has already begun to take in office.

"You'd better be careful when you put your hand on God. I thought of that in that inauguration," said MacArthur. "You can say whatever you want to say, but when you touch the Ark, when you place your hand on the throne of God because god is enthroned in His word and you place your hand on the word of God and pledge to do the very things that blaspheme His name. You talk about a high-risk action?"

MacArthur then mentioned the example of Uzzah, mentioned in 2 Samuel and 1 Chronicles. Uzzah was a priest who was helping David move the Ark of the Covenant, where the very presence of God dwelled. God had given very specific commands on how to transport the Ark in Exodus 25 and Numbers 4 and 7.

(Yes, THAT Ark of the Covenant)

Those instructions did not allow the Ark to be carried in a cart, and it certainly did not allow anyone to touch it. Even when Uzzah meant well (attempting to keep the Ark from slipping out of the cart), he met instant death in the presence of a holy and righteous God.

MacArthur's point? Taking a reference from Hebrews 10:31, it is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

"God doesn't want your respect, he wants your obedience," continued MacArthur.

But is Biden obedient to the God he professes? After all, the NY Times called him the most "religiously observant" president in modern history.

J Mac answered that with a politically-incorrect nuclear payload right on Biden's head:

"Don't tell me that you advocate the slaughter of babies in the womb. Don't tell me you wanna destroy masculinity, femininity, [and] marriage. Don't tell me you wanna fill the world with LGBTQ people in leadership. You want to justify transgender activity. Don't tell me you want to invite more Muslims in – who represent a religion from hell – and then put your hand on the throne of God."
