I don't know this for a fact, but I'm guessing they didn't do this with Obama.
Note that this includes ABC's Chief White House Correspondent, the individual ABC and their viewers depend on to bring them news from the White House.
It's almost as if they don't feel they have to pretend anymore.
"President-elect Biden believes that the media is a critical piece of our democracy," TJ Ducklo, Biden's national press secretary told Stelter. "That transparency is incredibly important."
Well, they are being transparent, in a way, but I'm not sure Biden sees the media as a critical piece of our democracy so much as he sees it as a critical piece of the Democratic Party.
"'I think it will be, frankly, the polar opposite what we have seen the last four years," Ducklo said,…
When he's right, he's right.
"I think you'll see a huge change in the culture, in the way that this White House treats the media."
And vice versa!
"Just one day after Biden was announced as the winner of the 2020 presidential election, Brian Stelter said, ‘As is always the case, Trump sucks up all the oxygen,' adding that the media's decision not to focus on Trump's election denial is a ‘testament to the normalization of his narcissism.'"
I don't think that's what they're normalizing.
