I don't know this for a fact, but I'm guessing they didn't do this with Obama.

It's almost as if they don't feel they have to pretend anymore.

Well, they are being transparent, in a way, but I'm not sure Biden sees the media as a critical piece of our democracy so much as he sees it as a critical piece of the Democratic Party.

And vice versa!
