It's been more than a month since President Biden announced that VP Harris would be handling the immigration crisis, and Madame VP has still not made a trip down to the southern border where record numbers of migrants are flooding into the U.S.
But the VP has made her way into migrant facilities in a less-than-conventional way, by means of her children's book, "Superheroes Are Everywhere," which was included in (at least one?) care package(s) for migrant children.
Unfortunately, Vice Presidents can't be everywhere, as Harris has demonstrated by her continued absence at the border.
The White House has denied knowledge of the book's inclusion in the care packages, but it's an unfortunate look for the VP who has been under scrutiny for her handling, or lack thereof, of the border crisis.
It's not an unfair question. When press secretary Jen Psaki was asked about the book's inclusion, she avoided the question by saying, "I hear it's a good book." Listen below:
Another not-unfair question: What if this had happened under another, more recent administration?
