Kanye West has ordered Gap to sell his "Yeezy" line of clothes out of gigantic trash bags set directly on the floor

Can someone explain the appeal of this to me?

Actually, I don't care, it's just so weird.

Kanye West -- who changed his name to Ye in 2021 -- has come under fire for what's being described as a visual merchandising strategy at the Gap. Instead of displaying the latest Yeezy x Gap collection on traditional hangers and t-shirt plinths, the clothes appear in giant trash bags dotted around the shop floor.

"Giant trash bags," by the way, is not a euphemism for anything. They are literally giant trash bags on the floor.

Live look at shoppers snatching up the latest Yeezy-wear:

And let me tell you something, if you like weird, shapeless, grim-dystopia clothing that cost 1/4 of your entire month's rent, you're going to be digging through those trash bags like nobody's business:

I might just wait until they throw these clothes into actual trash bags before I get any of them!
