Police said they got information that she was mentioning bomb threats in Oxford on social media several times.

A mugshot of Mestemacher shows that she has a beard and dyed-blonde hair with dark roots. Several social media accounts and outlets have falsely identified Mestemacher as transgender.
The National Desk received a press release from the Oxford Police Department regarding the arrest in which police refer to Mestemacher using feminine pronouns.
TND asked in a follow-up question if Mestemacher is transgender or nonbinary, to which the department's public information officer provided clarity.
"Lily is intersexual and identifies as a woman," Oxford Police Department's PIO Breck Jones said.
