Ladies, find yourself a man who looks at you like Xi Jinping's briefcase guy looks at Janet Yellen! We've got the details on Xi's arrival (and this new romance).

Emperor Xi is in town and we rolled out the red carpet for the totalitarian overlord:

Oh, whoops, wrong photo!

Sorry about that.

Let me check my desktop real quick...

Here we go!

Yep, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen greeted Xi because, well, I guess it was near her local In-N-Out haunt?

Really, I don't have any explanation for why the US treasury secretary was the one to welcome Emperor Xi. You'd think Secretary of State Blinken or a top-level ambassador or President Biden himself would be the one to greet the communist dictator who controls the lives of 18% of the human race.

Considering how China basically owns us at this point, I guess sending our Gringott's representative to pander to Xi-Who-Shall-Be-Named makes sense?

Anyway, we'll be covering all the festivities of this meeting in San Fran this week, but before all of that, we need to talk about the love that's kindled between Xi's briefcase man and Secretary Yellen!!

Talk about the male gaze!

"Briefcase Guy" is Xi's translator, I believe. The man follows him everywhere. It looks like the same guy (unless there's a steady supply of lookalikes) that got body-slammed at the BRICS conference a few months ago.

Xi will be the guest of honor at the APEC summit, which CBS calls "high-stakes." Fox News notes that CEOs are shelling out $40,000 for a seat at a table at the exclusive dinner with Xi and Joe Biden on Wednesday night.

Among the American CEOs and business luminaries expected to attend include Citigroup's Jane Fraser, Exxon Mobil's Darren Woods, Microsoft's Satya Nadella and billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX Elon Musk, according to a report by Bloomberg.

Me: "Please do something crazy, Elon. Please do something crazy. Troll them all!"

The economic summit will run through Friday and will require tact and strength to navigate the tense waters of the cold war developing with China over tariffs, Covid, military aggression, spying (remember that Chinese balloon??), semiconductors, and Taiwan.

In short, it really is a high-stakes game of dominance. If the US looks weak, it will be a major blow to us. The world is watching.

Good thing Biden is in charge of projecting our strength?

Anyway, enough about current White House residents and onto aspiring ones!

Don't forget how Xi and California Gov. Newsom looked at each other!!

TRUE LOVE!
