Some folks are really mad that Elon Musk bought Twitter. I guess they prefer Saudi princes holding major stakes in the company instead.
Here are some Wokies that promised they'd leave the site, one way or another, over Elon buying Twitter:
- Former Vermont governor and Democratic presidential candidate said "If Musk takes over Twitter I will be off within a few hours."
- Erik Larsen, a comic book creator, deleted his account.
- Jameela Jamil, "The Good Place" actress and activist, got rid of her account.
For a moment, it seemed the Twitterverse was going to be a much better place with Shaun "BLM Grifter" King leaving the site for good.
But to those who hoped King would leave Twitter, he says, "You wish, motherf*****." King logged in again early Tuesday to hit back at Donald Trump Jr. and Jack Posobiec, who had alleged King deleted his Twitter account, by calling them white supremacists.
From Newsweek:
"At its root, Elon Musk wanting to purchase Twitter is not about left vs right. It's about white power," King tweeted. "The man was raised in Apartheid by a white nationalist. He's upset that Twitter won't allow white nationalists to target/harass people. That's his definition of free speech."
"Elon Musk has openly called himself a 'free speech absolutist' and said that he wants to create a space where anything can be said about anyone. That's why white nationalists are giddy today. Here on Twitter and other platforms that I track daily. It's dangerous,"
"And listen, I don't even like the Democratic party. So for me, this isn't about left vs right. Not at all. It's about how the richest man in the world, a son of Apartheid, raised by a white nationalist, wants to be sure his speech, and that of other white men, isn't censored."
Of course, people were claiming King had deleted his account because, well, he had deleted his account.
King's Twitter bio now says, "I'm still here motherf******," his location is "Rent Free in Your Head," and his cover photo is a screenshot of Posobiec and Trump Jr.'s tweets about him leaving Twitter.
Seems like a sane guy!
