It's honestly such a relief to see the trend in athletes confessing their faith in Jesus Christ on the biggest of all stages. These are the guys some kids look up to most, and for these men to come out and use their platform to promote our Lord is just some sort of special.
The latest, and maybe greatest, to speak on his faith is likely NFL Rookie of the Year CJ Stroud of the Houston Texans.
Listen to what he had to say after a huge win in Cincinnati this past week when a reporter asked him how he stays so calm out there in the chaos:
For me, I mean, it's a lot of prayer, a lot of just knowing that, man, God wouldn't put anything on me that I can't handle. I don't deserve His grace and His mercy, but He still gives it to me and I love him for that, cuz, I mean, it's not about me it's about Him and His glory. So, I think that's where it comes from, I think God made me like that.
Best response of the year from that podium!
Keep up the great work, CJ. We're all pulling for you even if it means we have to root for the Texans.
