You gotta respect the hustle, man.

According to Ace Showbiz, T-Pain revealed recently in an interview that hip-hop star Akon used to use his brother as a body double when he first started in the business.

He would do twice as many shows as Akon because he'd have his brother lip sync his songs in one venue while Akon performed somewhere else.

Here are the two brothers together, in case you were wondering how they got away with it.

As I've seen it said, it's Akon and Bkon.

"I came up with Bou was doing shows for Akon, n***a," the 37-year-old, whose real name is Faheem Rashad Najm, told Akademiks. The latter didn't buy his claim though, saying, "No, stop it, that never happened."

In response, T-Pain stressed, "Are you that naive my n***a? He went on to emphasize, "These n***as was getting double the shows every motherf***in' month because Bou would go and slip freaking ... shows for Akon."

Alright, I don't care who you are, that is funny right there.

And there's definitely some basis for the claim. Akon's brother Bu got arrested for impersonating him a few year's back!
