This is what we like to call "finding out:" A group of thugs turned into sissies with their tails between their legs because their intended victim whipped out a firearm and started firing:

I tell you, they ran out of there so fast that the homeowner was probably a little disappointed he didn't get to fire off a few more shots.

The dude got very lucky, though:

Deputies said the homeowner dropped a gun he was holding while trying to fend off the attack and that the pistol was picked up by one of the intruders.

But the victim managed to scramble to another part of the house where he kept additional firearms and began shooting at his assailants.

Good for him, but in the future it's critically important that you don't pull a Fredo when your life is on the line:

It's a happy ending either way— let's hope the cops get these guys too.
