FedEx bots keep responding to a news story about a man's body that went missing in the mail with an offer to help 🤦‍♂️
· Jul 15, 2022 · NottheBee.com

This is a prime example of a hilariously dark situation where AI has gone horribly wrong.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution shared an unfortunate story about a man whose remains were lost by FedEx three years ago and, mistaking it for a general complaint, the FedEx Help reply bot replied to the tweet to express their genuine concern.

(They finally deleted the tweets, but we've got the screenshots)

Welp, that just gave away the game for FedEx.

Obviously, "Gaby" is not a real person because (hopefully) no real person would ever think this tweet should be responded to in this way.

This is genuinely embarrassing for the delivery service.

This didn't only happen once.

One clever Twitter user decided to reply to "Gaby" to help bring a resolution to this issue. And, guess what, the robots replied to that as well.

MARTA! NO!

Hurry up and shut this thing down before it gets worse!
