Them good ol' Cajuns seem to have gotten their head on straight.

Louisiana's Jeff Landry fulfilled his promise to the voters and Tuesday signed a bill to enshrine permitless concealed carry (also known as constitutional carry) into law in Louisiana.

This makes Louisiana the 28th state to pass such a law, as we slowly crawl our way back to being a country that abides by the Constitution.

Republican Gov. Jeff Landry told Fox News Digital,

Today, we join 27 other states in passing Constitutional Carry. I promised the folks of Louisiana that I would champion Constitutional Carry into law, and within two months, I have honored that commitment.

It's fundamentally clear β€” law-abiding citizens should never have to seek government permission to safeguard themselves and their families. Today, we have secured an incredible victory for liberty in Louisiana. I want to thank Louisiana's NRA members for their great work.

Permitless carry is now the majority position for states in the country, meaning that restrictions on self-defense are falling by the wayside. There's at least one area where conservatives and freedom-minded individuals are making progress.

The law now allows anyone over the age of 18 in Louisiana to carry a concealed handgun without any kind of government permit.

Pour out one today for those sad ATF bois!
