Yes, this is a real story from Sunday's game at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
A man who was upset that a woman had entered the men's bathroom went and entered the women's bathroom to make a point, peed in the sink, and then ended up punching "several women" who tried to stop him from peeing in the sink.
This happened just before halftime - no word as to whether before or after Jordan Love's pick-6, which would've put Packers fans in a mood, going down 17-3. Those lines at the ladies room are very long, so I'm assuming that's why a (probably drunk) woman entered the men's room to use it. Our assaulter must've seen this woman in there and then made his way to the women's room to get even.
Michigan woman Kathryn McCray, a Lions fan who was visiting Green Bay, tells the story:
‘He saw me, grabbed my arm, and punched me in the side of the face,' said McCray in an interview Monday. ‘Then, after that another woman grabbed him and he punched her.'
McCray said the assault happened after a man walked into the women's restroom and began shouting.
‘He was saying things that indicated that he was doing it because he was upset he had seen a woman in the men's room,' McCray told TMJ4's Ryan Jenkins.
She said the man also urinated in the sink and that's when he punched several women who were trying to get him to stop.
It's one thing to enter the women's bathroom to make a point; it's a whole other ballgame when you start punching women in the face. Several women.
What a bozo!!
Now, as someone who's been to Lambeau, I love that Ms. McCray made this last point, cuz it's just the truth.
This isn't by any means a reflection of the people we met at the game and we met in Green Bay. Everyone was exceptionally nice and it was just a bummer that this guy put such a damper on it.
A Packers game in Green Bay is one of the most pleasant experiences you'll ever have, and the people are great, even if you're wearing the opposing team's colors.
This man just happened to be one of the crazy ones, and was probably ten too many High Life beers in.
As for the rest of his day:
Photos show the same man being arrested. Online booking records show he was taken to the Brown County Jail and has since bonded out. We reached out to Green Bay Police but were told they couldn't share additional details due to the ongoing investigation.
I hope this bro knows that the only men allowed in the women's bathroom these days is one in girls' clothes.
Maybe next time he'll put on some Bears gear so he'll be allowed in there, though I'm sure he'll receive a lifetime ban from Lambeau after this.
