You gotta love news like this -- especially in a liberal town like Boston.

Give Peter Abraham Kwayu some credit here. He worked his butt off to identify as non-binary so he could qualify for the marathon (by the female standard at that).
From Marathon Investigation:
The Boston Marathon has long been considered the most prestigious road race in the world. For many runners, earning a Boston Qualifier (BQ) is the ultimate goal. This year, questions have emerged surrounding the entry of Peter Abraham Kwayu, a 24-year-old [?] runner who registered in the non-binary division — a choice that allowed entry despite not meeting the male qualifying standard. There is zero indication that Peter identifies as non-binary in any aspect of his life except as a Boston qualifier.
They want him to prove he's non-binary? What happened to believing all people's identity and personal truth??

By the way, it looks by this guy's LinkedIn profile that he's at least thirty. Good for him for finally finding his true self in his thirties!
Oops, I kinda misgendered him them there, didn't I?

Here's how he/they qualified:
Kwayu's 3:02:51 at REVEL Mt. Charleston was close but outside the male standard. His 3:20:22 in Chicago was far from the male cutoff but fell well within the non-binary qualifying standard. By entering as non-binary, Kwayu was able to submit a qualifying time that would not have been accepted in the male division.
it could be assumed that after missing the qualifying mark at REVEL Mt. Charleston, that he decided to enter Chicago as non-binary to secure his Boston entry. For another upcoming race, he is entered as male, even though that race offers the non-binary category.

It's just perfect!
The Boston Marathon added the non-binary category in 2023. This was their statement at the time:
And now we've got our most popular non-binary to ever enter the Boston Marathon.
Good luck, Peter!
