The Calgary Flames are circling the drain these days with a terrible season of only 4 wins out of 14, securing their spot at the bottom of the NHL.

Coach Ryan Huska let the team know he's been working on a solution: Using ChatGPT to help him "think outside the barn."

In an episode of ‘The Chase,' the Flames' candid behind-the-scenes show, head coach Ryan Huska was filmed telling his players he'd been consulting with the AI chatbot to figure out what the hell was going on.

‘So I went down a rabbit hole last night after watching this game here, and I put in — do you guys use ChatGPT?' Huska asked, while grilling the team in the dressing room.

Yep, instead of watching films and doing his own analysis, Huska has been feeding games into ChatGPT to get ideas.

Clearly, it doesn't seem to be working.

ChatGPT told Huska the Flames didn't have any good scorers, and they were only averaging 2.36 goals on the year.

Never mind that the man is leading a $1.4 billion team and ChatGPT is notoriously wrong, especially when it comes to math.

According to the human hockey nerds at Statmuse who didn't use ChatGPT, the Flames are actually averaging 2.06 goals.

It's a good thing Huska just signed a two-year contract, or he might be in trouble!
