McDonald's rolls back DEI, will open national scholarship to non-Latinos for the first time

The winning won't stop, folks. It even extends to fast food:

McDonald's opened a longstanding diversity program to all races and ethnicities last week following a lawsuit from a legal group opposed to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practices.

AAER argued that the fast-food chain's HACER National Scholarship Program was discriminatory against non-Hispanic/Latino students as the program required applicants to have at least one parent of Hispanic/Latino heritage.

Everyone celebrating their new ability to apply to the McDonald's scholarship without racist woke people judging them based on skin color:

A new day has dawned at America's Fast Food Restaurant! And another DEI program has bitten the dust.

McDonald's, unsurprisingly, is trying to cover its back on this: the restaurant, Fox reported, "did not necessarily agree that HACER was discriminatory but did not want the suit to end its longstanding program nor jeopardize opportunities for the applicants to pursue their educational aspirations:

'To be clear: we disagree with this claim,' McDonald's said. 'A legal challenge would mean this year's applicants would not have the opportunity to compete for the scholarship funds.'

Sure, whatever you guys gotta tell yourselves.

Remember, this isn't the only major win on DEI we've had since Trump took office:

Trump's only been in office for two weeks but corporate racism is disappearing from the land!
