The media is having a hard one today trying to decide if lots of armed Jews is a good or bad thing ๐Ÿ˜‚

Would you look at that?

The media has finally conceded that there might be a legit reason to own firearms for self-defense.

Yes, as long as you aren't a straight white European male, arming yourself for self-defense and learning how to safely use firearms is a good thing.

A "scary" thing. But a good thing.

Firearm instructors and Jewish security groups across the country say they have been flooded with new clientele since Hamas assaulted Israel on Oct. 7. And gun shop owners in Florida say they have seen more Jews purchase firearms in recent weeks than ever before.

"We've definitely seen a tremendous increase in religious Jewish people, Orthodox people, purchasing firearms," said David Kowalsky, who owns Florida Gun Store in the town of Hollywood, and also offers firearms training classes. "I've seen a surge in interest in individual training as well as group training."

Normally, the media says when there's a significant global event and people flock to gun stores, it's dangerous and we should really think about banning guns.

But this time, gun ownership is seen as responsible because it's largely "sensible" liberals in the Jewish community who are taking up arms in order to defend themselves.

"The majority of Jews in the country historically have been liberal on the left, pro-gun reform, pro-gun control, opposed to personal gun ownership," said Hank Sheinkopf, a veteran New York-based political strategist who is also an Orthodox rabbi. "Jews with guns were always seen as an odd event."

But now, Sheinkopf added, it seems the long held view โ€” of the U.S. being the "one place in the world where Jews are safe โ€” is coming to an end."

Many on the Left (Jewish Americans vote overwhelmingly Democrat) are waking up to the radical idea that people should be prepared to defend themselves and their families!

I mean, that's pretty great, isn't it?

A religious community being taught to defend themselves and that being facilitated by their religious leaders?

When's the last time you saw a conservative evangelical church offer to teach their congregants gun safety?

A 41-year-old Jewish woman living in Miami Beach said she is pro-gun control and had no desire to use a firearm. But she signed up for gun training sessions after receiving death threats from unknown accounts on Instagram, where she had previously posted about being Jewish.

The woman, who spoke on the condition of anonymity out of fear for her family's safety, said the threats contained graphic images of dead bodies.

Nothing changes your mind on gun control faster than seeing how fast your world can turn to literal hell on earth, and realizing you won't be able to protect yourself if the government has all the guns (especially in times when the government is the one trying to shoot you).

Of course, NBC had to remind us that guns are still scary:

"Even at the range, I just wanted to drop the gun and run back home," [Heyna] Chein said. "I was so scared, and I'm terrified of it."

Sounds like she needs a good trainer. If you are just embracing blasters for the first time, go find that neighbor with the Gadsden flag outside his house (the one the media tells you is racist) and ask him to help you out!

One person who recently hosted a training for the Jewish Community, a Marine vet named Eilon Even-Esh, put it simply:

"Some are concerned, and some are angry," said Even-Esh.

On Monday, he hosted a hastily arranged, late night personal safety training at a local synagogue, which lasted from 10:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

"These are regular people that want to feel safe," he said.

You couldn't explain the basic premise for the 2nd Amendment any clearer than that!
