It's fascinating to study the military tactics used in historic battles. In many cases, a single bad decision from a commanding officer could have changed all of human history.
Think of Xerxes allowing his fleet to be lured by the Athenians into the narrow Straits of Salamis, or the British disorganization at the Battle of the Chesapeake, or General Cornwallis' decision to pick the indefensible spot of Yorktown to plop his army, or the Crusader King Guy of Jerusalem's decision to march across the desert to engage Saladin instead of creating supply routes, or the French decision to send heavily armored knights against English longbows across the muddy ground at Agincourt, or Napoleon‘s decision to invade Russia in winter.
For every military example, there are a dozen political examples of strange strategies that in hindsight were guaranteed to lead to defeat.
In 2022, the Democrats' insistence on transing the kids and placing men wearing dresses in schools is perhaps the most spectacular in world history.
A Michigan attorney general is facing criticism after she suggested that there should be "a drag queen for every school."
Attorney General Dana Nessel made the comments during a civil rights summit in Lansing, Michigan, on Wednesday.
Nessel is the first openly gay person voted into statewide office in Michigan.
"Drag queens make everything better. Drag queens are fun," she is quoted as saying by Detroit News reporter Craig Mauger.
"A drag queen for every school," she reportedly added. Mauger went on to tweet that Nessel admitted her comment had not been poll-tested.
Yeah, this is doing wonders for the gay "civil rights" movement and your party platform, Dana! Keep telling parents that you want pedophiles and crossdressers to be permanently installed around their kids using their tax dollars.
Dana said she was joking, but jokes are telling. What did she find funny about the joke?
- Was she mocking the idea? Nope.
- Was she mocking her opponents' focus on equating drag queens with groomers? Nope.
Instead, she was leaning into the idea that drag queens ARE actually "great" and "fun." The punchline was that it would be great to have drag queens around your kids, even if she isn't directly advocating tax dollars for it.
According to The Detroit News, she said drag queens would "lift kids up when they're having 'emotional issues'" because apparently sex perverts are the same as circus clowns.
Her opponent had thoughts.
Matt DePerno, the Republican candidate for attorney general, pummeled Nessel for the bizarre comments.
"Dana Nessel continues to show just how completely out of touch she is with Michiganders," said DePerno in a statement.
You're making it really easy for sane people to take back control of the Mitten Queen's government, Dana!
Keep it up: I'd like to live in a non-dystopia again.
