We've all been there. That irrepressible urge to lash out when the Monopoly dice just don't go your way.

Remember when this guy shot up his family over a Monopoly game.

And here we are again talking about a Monopoly game that got too heated outside a residence in Belgium.

As the clock neared 5AM, and the argument over the game was still going, a man inside the residence came out with a stick to put an end to the fight, but the players didn't back down.

Next thing you know, the man's son showed up with a Samurai sword, and that's when things really went south.

"The player tried to grab the katana and removed the holster. The son tried to get it back," police said.

In the end, the player and the son were both taken to the hospital from wounds tussling over the Samurai sword, and both men were arrested.

The area where the game took place was left strewn in blood-covered Monopoly money.

Kind of like my dining room table on family-game night.
