Mother duck hatches eggs at hospital's maternity center, gets escorted out by caring staff

Mar 28th

This is quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Yes, a mother duck hatched 10 eggs in the fenced-in courtyard at Beaches OBGYN in Jacksonville Beach, Florida this week (not sure which wing they were on). But with no safe way to exit the courtyard, the mother and her ten ducklings had to be escorted through the building and out the front door like everyone else.

Check it out.

Extreme levels of cute!

And I love this shot:

Doesn't papa duck know he can pull right up to the exit and load them into that giant Nissan van?

Next time, dad. Next time.

Hospital staff are "still ‘quacking' up over this story," and they're looking forward to momma duck's six-week follow-up.

Out of the kindness of their hearts, Beaches also said they will be covering the bill.
