Last night, Chris Hayes, a mainstream media balloonhead who doesn't get nearly enough credit for his ridiculousness and over-the-top sensationalism, made one of the most mind-bending non-sequitur statements I have ever seen.
Hayes claims that Republican's confirmation of now Justice Amy Coney Barrett has cost 100,000 American lives.
According to Hayes, the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett was a Republican priority because it can't be reversed, but also what can't be reversed are the deaths of "probably 100,000 Americans." Yes, listen to the mainstream media who tells you that Republicans cause deaths by filling an empty seat on the Supreme Court.
"They traded one for the other" ... what??
How does he come to this conclusion? Because it seems to be a non-sequitur at face value.
The only argument that can begin to make sense is that Hayes is pushing the Democrat and media lie that Republicans refuse to pass Covid relief because they're more concerned with the Supreme Court. This, however, is simply not true.
CBS, Washington Times, Politico, MSNBC sister corporation CNBC, and many other organizations all report very clearly that it was Senate Democrats who blocked Covid relief, not Republicans. But now it's the talking point that Republicans value judges more than American lives, so it is the solemn duty of balloonheads like Hayes to perpetuate that myth.
I'll let our friends at the real Bee point out the greatest irony of this argument.
Not only does this confirmation not cost lives, it could very well save untold millions.
