Nashville council reinstates ousted representative Justin Jones back to his former place in the Tennessee House

One of the two Democrats booted by Tennessee Republicans on Thursday of last week has already been reappointed to his seat by the Nashville Metropolitan Council just days later.

Justin Jones, the man who was the true ringleader for the so-called "Tennessee Three," the man who took over the floor of the house and used a bullhorn to communicate with the unruly protestors, was simply given everything back to him when his city's council reappointed him to the seat.

The 36 council members at Monday's meeting unanimously supported reinstating Jones. The council had suspended its rules to allow an immediate vote instead of holding a monthlong nomination period.

Less than an hour later, Jones was sworn in on the steps of the State Capitol. He raised his fist as he entered the House chamber while supporters chanted, "Welcome home!"

Nashville, the city, is completely lost. 36 people voted to reinstate the insurrectionist and ZERO voted against him.

Then they cheer "democracy" in the streets.

Republicans held Jones accountable, but the Democrats have found a way to spin this and the deaths of the Christians that sparked the initial gun protest, into a win for the radicals.

Jones may have lost his seat, but he has raised his profile and made it to the national stage.

And, believe me, he made a spectacle of it.

Then Jones, who was justly removed from office, called for the speaker of the house in Tennessee, Cameron Sexton, to be removed from office.

Why? Blah blah blah dEmoCraCy, blah blah.

Translation: Vengeance.

Jones again abused the meaning of Christ's crucifixion to promote his own special treatment and makes absolutely everything about himself.

There's only one solution to fight this sort of thing. Republicans have to continue to stand up.

What they did Wednesday was great, but they can't continue to let the radical have win after win after win.

Keep fighting.
