"China styles itself as a champion of the developing world": NBC uses opening Olympic ceremony to spread straight-up commie propaganda
· Feb 4, 2022 · NottheBee.com

Nothing like a little communist propaganda coming from an American news network to start your weekend.

That's what you get with the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics on NBC:

It's worth remembering that, while Western countries may be boycotting these Olympics over human rights issues, China styles itself as a champion of the developing world.

And it has plenty of support in countries from Africa to Latin America where it's investments are building up local economies.

What the actual Peter Heck are we watching here?

Sure, China has massive human rights violations. Sure they are actively participating in a genocide of the Uyghurs. Yeah, they use slave labor on a regular basis.

But they see themselves as a "champion of the developing world." 🤡

Evil Western countries only see the bad. But the commies in China are building alliances all over the undeveloped world, and they're oppressed, so it's totally cool.

What absolute, total horse crap.

China is literally colonizing Africa right now. That's what they mean by support from countries in Africa.

And, I guess, that's totally fine now.

It's offensive to see this on American television. It's anti-American and promotes an evil, murderous, dictatorship.

Utterly shameful.

There was more of this, too.

Host Samantha Guthrie celebrated China's "diversity" during the opening ceremony.

During the opening ceremony, China orchestrated a traditional entrance of a national flag involving a group of people meant to represent China's 56 ethnic groups.

"This is an effort to show they are all united under the Chinese flag," Guthrie said, adding that China is "looking to demonstrate diversity."

She noted there are "obviously deep tensions and concerns under the surface here" before asking Browne to weigh in.

"This is a national ritual meant to show that China's ethnic groups live together as one big happy family, but as we discussed earlier, the Biden administration cited ongoing human rights abuses by the Chinese government against the Uyghurs, one of China's ethnic minorities, as reasons for the diplomatic boycott," he said, adding that the White House "did not want to contribute to the fanfare of the games such as this."

So they're going to try to play both sides, eh?

So much for holding China's feet to the fire and providing honest coverage!
