Here's something you don't see every day: An honest Democrat standing up to his own party.

Check out this speech from New Hampshire Representative and self-described liberal Democrat Jonah Wheeler.

We're talking about whether or not kids should get these surgeries and they should not. These are irreversible surgeries... When we are talking about whether or not kids should get these surgeries that's a bridge too far. I will not be signing on to that.

Much like Ohio's DeWine yesterday with his executive order, Wheeler ONLY supports the ban on medical surgeries but is toeing the line of the Democrat party on all the other pro-trans talking points.

BUT for a DEMOCRAT this is a sign of life and intelligence you never see. For Republicans, this does not meet a minimum requirement.

11 other Democrats voted with Wheeler to pass this bill which would ban trans surgeries for kids. However, that's all the bill does. It does not address other transgender issues, such as psychological treatment and cross-sex hormone therapy for kids.

2 Republicans crossed the aisle and voted with the Democrat minority in opposition to the bill.

Common sense is a rare commodity in the 21st Century.

We are living in a bizarre world where Republican governors support trans surgeries on minors and Democrats are starting to oppose it.
