Sugar Bowl in New Orleans to be postponed after terror attack

The inaugural 12-team NCAA playoff is underway and has just hit a major bump in the road.

The Sugar Bowl was scheduled to be played tonight in New Orleans. However, after last night's suspected terror attack on Bourbon Street officials are postponing the game between Georgia and Notre Dame until Thursday

However, given the congregation of thousands of college football fans and the possibility of another attack, authorities have determined that it is in the best interest of the public to postgame the game for another time. No official word has been given by authorities. The initial report of this release comes from local news affiliate, WDSU.

We will keep an eye on everything out of NOLA as we get word.
