In an incredibly on-brand moment for New York City, a homeless man attacked a 60-year-old woman, stealing her cane, and beating her with it over 50 times. All while some cowards stood by and recorded the entire attack.

Honestly, the dude who pulled out his phone to record is almost as disgusting as the attacker himself, if you ask me.

But this is the kind of society you create when you punish men like Daniel Penny who would step in and save people from these homeless wackos.

You could not pay me to take a New York subway after dark. There ain't no way.

The NYPD responded to the 911 call of an assault at about 3:30 a.m., sources told The Post, but during the video of the beating, no MTA workers, police or subway riders intervened.

NYPD sources also told The Post the 60-year-old woman did not know the suspect.
