I am one million percent certain that this video is fake.
ALX does realize this is a computer-generated video.
But many people don't.
The Matrix is developing before our eyes.
You can develop videos like this almost instantly for just a few dollars now. The internet will soon be flooded with them. It will be almost impossible to know if a video or picture is real.
To help you navigate the maze of fakery, here are a few obvious signs that this video isn't real.
First, the people are speaking gibberish (though AI can easily give digital characters voices and accents).
Second, there are little glitches in the environment. This infinity sign makes no sense:
The airline worker has no name on her name badge:
The kangaroo is holding a ticket:
And has no leash:
The women's eye contact is slightly off, and their mouths move ever so weirdly:
Third, the camera work is too staged. The kangaroo is perfectly centered and whoever is filming feels comfortable stepping into this woman's personal space to film her pet. AI-generated videos look weirdly polished or framed.
Of course, all this advice might be moot in 6 months, because this tech is developing faster than most people realize. Consider the two-year difference in Will Smith eating pasta:
Or look at this video, which is entirely fake.
What a time to be alive.
