"Nobody is safe in San Francisco right now": Former SF fire commissioner brutally beaten with metal bar near his home

In yet another case of out-of-control crime in liberal utopia San Francisco, a homeless man brutally beat a former SF fire commissioner with a metal bar in broad daylight near the victim's home.

Former fire commissioner Donald Carmignani was "repeatedly slashed, beaten and hit over the head" by a crazed homeless man with a large metal bar who has since been apprehended by police.

"He almost beat the man into the street with all these cars passing by," witness Colin Heil said. "I was screaming stop, stop, stop!"

The violence apparently happened after Carmignani attempted to get three homeless people to move away from the front of his house.

"He asked them to move and he was blindsided by a metal pipe to the head," a friend of Carmignani said. "Don's a big guy and what it says to me is this kind of thing can happen to anybody. Nobody is safe in San Francisco right now."

The same friend said the former fire commissioner suffered a fractured skull, broken jaw, and many lacerations to his face and head from the attack.

This violence comes right on the heels of the horrific stabbing death of Cash App founder Bob Lee in downtown San Fran.
