Another day, another woke, anti-racist professional describing how they practice racism in their field.
This time we have a medical illustrator who works at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, explaining that she doesn't use white men in her illustrations.
This is what happens when Ibram X. Kendi becomes the intellectual figurehead for a movement.
In order to remedy a perceived racist action in the past is to commit real racism today.
It's assumed that, in the past, minorities weren't used for illustrations because of systemic racism. There's no evidence of this, of course, but the answer to every discrimination is brutal racism.
So now, in an explicitly race-conscious manner, this professional is taking racist action today.
Thank you, equity!
