Ohio couple, Jose Ervin Jr. and his fiancée, Scierra Blair, were born one year apart on August 18, and this year on their 31st and 32nd birthdays, respectively, they welcomed two babies into the shared birthday club.

The babies had a little help from their dad regarding the timing of their arrival though. On August 17, Scierra went to her doctor's appointment a few weeks before her due date, but doctors wanted to perform a c-section that day because one of the babies was breech.

Jose asked if Scierra would be okay with delaying the C-section by a few hours so the babies could arrive on their birthday.

Ervin told PEOPLE,

Since she was in good health and wasn't stressed, and the kids were in good health and weren't stressed, I thought, 'Why not wait?'

Jose was overjoyed that Scierra agreed after a bit of persuasion on his part, saying,

Our kids being born on our birthday, that's unique. All of us celebrating together, that's beautiful.

The couple welcomed big brother, José Ervin III at 12:35 a.m. on August 18 and just one minute later his sister Ar'ria Lannette Ervin arrived.

The family of four is already making plans for how they will spend their shared birthdays in the years to come, but for this year, Jose said that the twins' birth was the "best birthday present ever."
