Oklahoma man Kody Adams had a court date regarding a stolen vehicle charge he was facing, but he just couldn't find a ride.
So, he stuck to what he is good at and "borrowed" one.
Troopers said Adams was at a Stillwater gas station asking people for a ride to his court date in Pawnee. When he couldn't find a ride, troopers said Adams decided to hop in an unoccupied LifeNet Emergency Services pickup and drive himself to court.
'It was left on, running and unattended,' said Preston Cox, with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
He drove thirty minutes away to Pawnee and ditched the truck, but emergency services was able to track their stolen vehicle, and the trooper caught Adams as he was walking into the court house.
Adams was allowed to attend his scheduled court date, and then was taken into custody, transported back to Payne County. and booked on new charges.
Hopefully he'll be able to find a ride for that court date!
