I hate to remind you that there is such abject evil in the world, but it's my job to warn you about the monsters that lurk out there among us.
Oklahoma police were conducting a search Monday for two missing teen girls, Ivy Webster, 14, and Brittany Brewer, 16, who were last seen at 1:30 a.m. just south of Tulsa in a white Chevy truck belonging to convicted rapist Jesse L. McFadden, supposedly to spend the night at a sleepover with his stepdaughter.
When police searched McFadden's rural property, police reported the discovery of 7 bodies.
From The New York Times:
Sheriff Eddy Rice said that the authorities had called off the search for Ivy and Brittany after the bodies were found at the property, near Henryetta, the county seat, and just south of Tulsa. "We believe to have found everything that we were seeking this morning," Sheriff Rice said.
The sheriff said he could not provide any details about the seven deaths, but said the case was being investigated as a homicide.
And from WSIL-TV in Illinois:
The missing teens, 14-year-old Ivy Webster and 16-year-old Brittany Brewer, were believed to be among the bodies, Okmulgee County Sheriff Eddy Rice said, noting the medical examiner would provide a final confirmation of their identities.
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokesperson Gerald Davidson said the bodies were "not in the residence, but just on the property."
McFadden was supposed to appear in court on Monday on new charges of child porn and using a cell phone to exchange nude photos with a minor that stemmed from 2017, and so a bench warrant was issued for his arrest. The night before, Ivy Webster did not return home after spending the night at a friend's house on Saturday, and was reported missing.
McFadden was convicted of rape in 2003.
Ivy Webster's parents were "shocked" to learn of McFadden's history and that he was out of jail given his history.
"He should not have been out and it's our justice system that needs to be harder," Justin Webster said.
"Brittany was an outgoing person," said father Nathan Brewer. "She actually was selected to be Miss Henryetta... coming up in July for this miss national miss pageant in Tulsa. And now she ain't gonna make it because she's dead. She's gone."
Police have not yet given the identities of the other four deceased people found on the property, but the reported mother of McFadden's wife says the other bodies belonged to her daughter and her two grandchildren (not reportedly related to McFadden).
The wife of Holly McFadden's brother (the aunt of the Holly's two kids) says there were multiple red flags about Jesse McFadden but that the two had only been together for several months.
